Hope your having a wonderful day so far..

It's grueling and very tiring watching the trial first hand with all the side bars all the time. I almost think it's easier to watch the replay of them at night to scroll past those parts. You miss some things though that take place, not captured on the replay video's. In the same, it's all very interesting to watch.

I'm very surprised that Bozo did the cross examination instead of the expert he brought in to do that. Did he change things up to play dumb Vs having the expert question the FBI agent? Me thinks so.

It was very hot yesterday and I got way too overheated mowing my Mom's yard. I was dripping wet by the time I got done. After I cooled down for a while, I went and got flowers for the cemetary. Were going there today to pay our respects to my Dad, Granparents, Aunt/Uncle. Taking the pups for a ride first to fill up her SUV which we do every Sunday. My Aunt is still fighting something and can't eat without it going right through her (don't want to get graphic about it). Her and My Mom had a trip planned end of the month, which had to be cancelled because of the issues my Aunt is having. They generally always go to dinner on Sundays and lately have not been able to. My Mom always looks foreward to going to dinner, so I will be her date tonight.

Linda - Very nice picture of your Grand Daughter and her new hubby. Always great to see you here.. It's supposed to be cooler today, so hope you can get outside and enjoy it. Wont be like yesterday for sure.

Dave and Dale - Hope both of you had a wonderful Birthday. I had forgotten that yours were only a day apart from one another. Daley - it was great to talk to you last night. Sorry that my bod was so whooped and I kept yawning. Actually - I think you are the one that yawned first, cause you just woke up from a nap LOL. It was great talking to you though!!!

Dy - Hopefully your getting rested up after your work week. Your like the energizer bunny with all that you do all day long and I have no idea how you do it all.

Mishy - Hope all is going well and hope to hear from you soon. I always love hearing your sweet voice on the phone.

Just peekin in on stuff...been at emerg. room most of day...ugg...got 2 antibiotics & pain med in iv...hope I can stand for trial tomorrow...I will even if unable to move.

Vass says they've followed 50 individuals from death to skeletonization.Vass says the odor of human decomposition is unique.

Vass says he's also sampled "road kill" in the past. He reiterated that human decomposition odor is different.

You won¹t convince Arpad Vass that a dead man tells no tales. Vass, a forensic scientist at Oak Ridge, runs the world’s only body farm—a place where corpses are left to rot on purpose for the sake of scientific research. For two decades, Vass has used his facility to extract ever more precise tales from the dead. Officially dubbed the Anthropology Research Facility, the 30-year-old plot of land on three wooded acres behind the medical center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville was immortalized in Patricia Cornwell’s The Body Farm.

After arriving at the university in 1988, Vass, the son of a Hungarian immigrant, came under the wing of Body Farm creator William Bass (now retired).

But not all of Vass’ methods are purely scientific. Joking around with one of his visiting colleagues at the Body Farm, Vass once decided to use an equivalent of a divining rod to locate a buried corpse. Holding two pieces of a wire hanger in his hands, Vass was startled as he indeed found that body. “We laughed about it and tried again,” Vass says. The laughter died down after the divining method worked time and again, having never failed thus far. Vass is now devising a theory to support the experiment. “If you can use it on a nanoscale level in law enforcement, it would be a great tool,” he says. Also in Vass’ desk drawer is a technology of attaching electronic chips to flies, which are known to locate rotting flesh three miles away.

Be it by soil samples, divining rods or flies that spy, the dead are talking to Arpad Vass.

Obviously JB is trying to interrupt the flow of this witness' testimony in every possible way he can. He wants the witness to lose track, he wants the state to lose track, and he's hoping the jury will lose track and be confused. You can tell how strong a witnesses testimony is by how much JB objects. JB is practically laying on the floor pounding his fists and feet on this witness. ;-)

Vass says chloroform is a decompositional component. He says it was "shockingly" high.

Baez will voir dire Vass on the methodology for the testing.

Acetic acid was found in the wheel well, Vass says, which is a component of human decomposition and chloroform.
